The president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, stated today that Serbia was not capable of running big systems, such as the subway system in Belgrade, which opened room for French companies.

In Paris, at the France-Serbia Business Council, he pointed out that Serbia also needed to cooperate with companies for the construction of landfills, waste management and other fields, with which big agreements were signed for a number of years.

– We are also looking forward to the future cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence, and yesterday we started talking with Electricite de France (EDF) about nuclear energy, nuclear reactors, which is green energy, energy which will create a sustainable system for Serbia. Otherwise, in 20 years, we will not be able to supply enough electrical energy, not just for our industry, but for our populace either – said Vucic.

He added that those were big investments, but that Serbia was ready to cooperate closely with France.
