Vesic: Construction of Vozd Karadjordje Fast Route to Start This Year “If All Goes Well”

The construction of the Vozd Karadjordje fast route could begin this year, announced the minister of transport of Serbia, Goran Vesic.

– When it comes to Sumadija, the most important thing is that, this year, if all goes well, the construction of the Vozd Karadjordje fast route will begin, which will enable an improved comfort of life fore people, the development of the local economy and the development of tourism – Vesic said on Facebook.

He added that, along with the ring road around Kragujevac, under construction, people in that area “will be fully connected in terms of traffic”, which, as he said, will enable for them more investments, a better life and to stay in their places.

– Along with the fast railroad between Belgrade and Nis, for those construction the tenders will be published this year, these projects will fully change the way of life in Sumadija – the minister said while visiting the location of the reconstruction of the road between Mladenovac and Smederevska Palanka.

– This road, 22 kilometers long, was “stitched together” several years ago, and it was high time for it to be finally done in the way that the citizens who live in this part of our country deserve – wrote Vesic.
