The works on the construction of the Slepcevic-Badovinci fast route, 15.4 kilometers long, which will connect Slepcevic, near Sabac, with the border crossing Sepak with Bosnia and Herzegovina, began today.

The road, with two traffic lanes in each direction, is designed for speeds of up to 100 km/h.

This traffic route is a leg of the fast route from Sabac to Loznica, which is under construction and which should be completed by the end of next year. In October, the 24.6-km highway between Ruma and Sabac, with the bridge on the Sava, opened for traffic.

The contractor on the Slepcevic-Badovinci section is the Azerbaijani company Azvirt with Serbian subcontractors, and four surface intersections with a roundabout and five bridges are planned.

The beginning of the works was attended by the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, the minister of construction, transport and infrastructure, Goran Vesic, the director of the PE Roads of Serbia, Zoran Drobnjak, and the director of the PE Corridors of Serbia, Aleksandar Antic.
