The minister of domestic and foreign trade of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic, stated last night that Serbia would complete the highway to the Montenegrin border by 2027.

As part of his two-day visit to Montenegro, Momirovic met with the minister of economic development and tourism of Montenegro, Goran Djurovic, and a delegation of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro.

In an interview with TV Vijesti, the minister promised that the road to the border with Montenegro would be completed by 2027.

– We have finished 130 kilometers to Montenegro, and in the coming months, we will complete another 20. We are doing preparatory works in the part from Pozega to the Montenegrin border. By 2027, we will complete the road to Montenegro. There have been certain delays, but we are doing two tunnels of three kilometers each there. Those are by far the biggest tunnels in our country, so there are certain delays. Works are carried out each day, 24 hours a day, and we will complete them very quickly. Yes, it would have been better if we had finished them three months earlier, it will be three months later, but the most important thing is to finish the highway to Montenegro. It is of mutual interest for Serbia and Montenegro – Momirovic said.
