Temporary Traffic Route as New Link to Branko’s Bridge

The traffic route between Vladimira Popovica Street and Branko’s Bridge cannot yet start working until the construction of the new bridge on the Sava starts and the terrain is leveled, but the plan is for a temporary route to be established in the location of the former company Rade Koncar in the meantime, announced the mayor of Belgrade, Aleksandar Sapic.

– A big roundabout is planned to be built. However, until the bridge is built, the land is leveled and the traffic solution is finally defined, our idea is to establish a temporary traffic route which would be located where Rade Koncar, which we have removed, used to be. That way, we will enable the vehicles which arrive to Vladimira Popovica Street from Zorana Djindjica Blvd. and Milentija Popovica Street to reach Branko’s Bridge by that route and thereby bypass the traffic bottleneck near the “Usce” Shopping Center – said the mayor of Belgrade.

The removal of facilities, such as services, shops and the former German Pavilion, in anticipation of the construction of the new traffic solution in this part of New Belgrade, has been going on for a long time now.
