Furniture Fair from October 6 through 11 at Belgrade Fair

From October 6 through 11, the 59th International Fair of Furniture, Equipment and Interior Decoration (UFI member) will the held at the Belgrade Fair, the organizers announced.

Local and foreign exhibitors, furniture manufacturers, designers, distributors, traders and others will exhibit furniture, lighting and decoration.

The entire wood industry, from primary wood processing, to the manufacturing of final products, will be presented at the International Furniture Fair.

According to the organizer, “the event has been considerably redesigned, moving forward in two directions – as regarding the conception by the program focusing on design oriented companies and as regarding business, the business visit strengthening through the introduction of Hosted Buyers program.”

Simultaneously, the 59th International Fair of Woodworking Machinery, Tools and Materials will be held, until October 10.

According to the most recent data from this year, the export of furniture and wood products from Serbia amounted to EUR 753.2 million, comprising 6.2% of Serbia’s total exports, that is, 4.6% more than in the same period last year.

The biggest export was recorded in the furniture sector, in the amount of EUR 320.8 million, with a year-on-year growth of 20.2% and a positive external trade balance of EUR 233.9 million.

The share of the wood industry and its side industries in Serbia’s GDP is around 2.5%.
