The Ministry of Mining and Energy has published the ranking list of the auctions for the allocation of market premiums for wind farms and solar power plants.

Of the total number of applied investors, 11 participants qualified for the bidding phase. In the procedure of the auctions for wind farms, four investors filled out the quotas, and in the procedure of the auctions for solar power plants, three. The lowest offered prices are EUR 64.48 per megawatt-hour for wind farms and EUR 88.65 per megawatt-hour for solar power plants.

When it comes to wind farms, 9 projects competed for the quota of 400 MW, of which 8 met the elimination terms. The biggest quota was allocated to the company Vetrozelena (210 MW at an offered price of EUR 64.48 per MWh), followed by Cibuk 2 Wind Energy (108.5 MW at an offered price of EUR 73.7 per MWh), Enlight K2-Wind (68 MW at a price of EUR 68.88 per MWh, whereas for Crni Vrh Power, the quota of 13.5 MW remained, at an offered price of EUR 79 per MWh. The other four companies all had a price of EUR 84 per MWh and were left without quotas. These are: Vetropark Torak, Vetropark Lipar, Vetropark Lipar 2, MK-Fintel Wind.

When it comes to solar power plants, the quota of 50 MW was not filled out. The biggest quota was allocated to Novo Selo Power (6.4 MW at an offered price of EUR 89.8 per MWh), followed by Hiperion Sol (4 MW at an offered price of EUR 88.65 per MWh) and Terra Solar (1.2 MW at a price of EUR 89.8 per MWh). Four companies did not meet the qualification terms.

The maximum prices that a RES producer could offer at the auction are EUR 105 per megawatt-hour for wind farms and EUR 90 per megawatt-hour for solar power plants. Advantage for the allocation of the incentives is given to those investors which offer the lowest price compared to the maximum defined price, whereby the costs of electrical energy are expected to reduce.

The Ministry of Mining and Energy says that it is satisfied with the investors’ response. According to them, 16 investors with a total power plant capacity of 816.48 MW applied for the first auctions for the allocation of market premiums for renewable energy sources, of which 602.8 MW was offered for the filling out of the quota, whereas the estimated value of the investments of all the power plants is EUR 1.26 billion.

The seriousness of the offers made is shown by the fact that the interested companies have submitted banking guarantees and deposits worth over EUR 18 million, which guarantees their intention to realize the projects, says the ministry’s announcement.

– The achieved prices for the majority of the capacities are nearly twice as low as the current market prices, so we have plenty of reason to be satisfied, especially since we will get an additional 550 MW, which will double the total current capacities of green energy in Serbia. This is very important for the economic growth of our country, because it will generate investments worth over EUR 1 billion in the next few years – said the minister of mining and energy of Serbia, Dubravka Djedovic.
