The two ministers discussed the important projects that were being implemented, and one of the topics was the planned introduction of electronic invoices in Montenegro, according to the ministry’s website.
Bearing in mind Serbia's experience in that field, an agreement was reached that experts from the Ministry of Finance of our country would help Montenegro through the transfer of knowledge and experience, and in the coming weeks a contract will be signed with the aim of implementing the e-invoice system in the Montenegrin fiscal system.
Mali emphasized that it was a reform process that would help Montenegro be fiscally stable and announced that Serbia was working on e-delivery notes and e-excise fees. As he emphasized, along with the systems of e-fiscalization and e-invoices, which are already functioning, this will round out an important process. He added that the system of e-invoices was used by 216,592 subjects at that moment and that, since the system started being used, over 75 million electronic invoices had been exchanged.
The two ministers also talked about solving the problem related to the debt of the "Dr Simo Milosevic" Institute in the amount of EUR 7.4 million to Jugobanka in bankruptcy, i.e. to the Deposit Insurance Agency of Serbia, which took over the bank’s claims after it went bankrupt.
The interlocutors agreed that it was necessary to resolve this multi-decade dispute as soon as possible and to find a permanent solution in order to preserve this important health tourism institution. An agreement was also reached on further procedural and legal steps, which, among other things, will include a certain type of deal.
Mali and Damjanovic agreed that the future deal should also resolve the debt that Serbia has towards Montenegro in the amount of EUR 1.3 million for the old foreign currency savings.
At the end of the meeting, Mali and Damjanovic concluded that there was room for a further improvement of economic cooperation, all to the end of a better quality of life for the citizens of the two countries.
