Government Gives Approval for Signing Agreement with Investors on Investments Worth RSD 7 Billion

The Government of Serbia has given approval for the signing of an agreement with six companies on investment projects whose total investment value exceeds RSD 7 billion.

At the proposition of the Ministry of Economy, approval has been given for the signing of agreements with the companies Puratos Belgrade, Yusei Machinery, Jugotex Production, Pionir Belgrade, Haix Oprema and Stublina HBB Group Arandjelovac, according to the website of the Government of Serbia.

Said investment projects will contribute to the creation of 1,180 new jobs in Kragujevac, Nis, Krupanj, Subotica, Vranje and Arandjelovac.

– As soon as this September, a new cycle of investments in machinery, equipment and production facilities and employment is to take place – minister Sinisa Mali, who took on the responsibilities of the minister of economy until the appointment of the new minister, pointed out on that occasion.

Puratos Belgrade was founded in 1996 and is owned by Puratos Group from Belgium, which produces food products. Through the project of equipping a new production facility for the production of margarine and other powdered products, it plans to invest EUR 3.29 million and employ 30 new workers in Kragujevac by the end of 2024.

The investment of Yusei Machinery pertains to the opening of a production facility for injection casting and aluminum application on plastic car components in Nis.

The plan is to invest EUR 20.75 million and employ 280 new workers by the end of 2026.

Jugotex Production plans to equip a production facility for the production of textile items in the municipality of Krupanj.


Under the investment project, by the end of 2024, they will invest EUR 2.55 million and employ 150 new workers.

Pionir is owned by Amasis doo Belgrade, which operates in the food industry and owns production facilities in Subotica, Paracin and Prokuplje. By the end of this year, they will invest EUR 2.61 million in the automation of thermal-technical systems in the factory in Subotica, where the majority of their products are made, says the government’s website.

Haix Oprema plans to launch footwear production in Vranje, thanks to which 651 workers will be employed indefinitely by the end of 2025, with an investment of EUR 2.80 million.

In addition to said investments in basic material assets in the production sector, the reconstruction and extension of Hotel Sumadija in Arandjelovac, whose carrier is the company Stublina HBB Group, will be carried out as well.

As planned, by the end of 2025, Stublina HBB Group will employ 70 new workers and invest EUR 30 million in the municipality of Arandjelovac.
