In accordance with the trends and challenges faced by the entire planet and humanity in the modern age, the application of the concept of "greening" logistics is considered highly desirable.
One of the pioneers who started the introduction of this form of logistics is the company Milšped, which this year started with the project of building a solar power plant on the roofs of its warehouses as part of the project for green transition, co-financed by the Government of Japan, and implemented by UNDP Serbia. The solar panels at the logistics center in Krnješevci have a power of 600 KW, and the annual reduction in electricity consumption from the grid is planned in the amount of about 34%. The indirect impact of reducing greenhouse gas emissions on an annual basis is 774.94 tons of CO2e.

The company Milšped is also extremely proud of its project, which is the only container terminal in the southern and central part of Serbia. It is about the MBOX Terminal Nis, which is a rail-road intermodal terminal in Popovac, and is located in a new industrial zone near Nis. Built according to the most modern European standards, this terminal has the capacity to handle around 50,000 TEUs per year.
The terminal has a storage capacity of more than 2,700 containers, as well as a separate parking lot for trucks and cars. In addition, it has a modern Reach stacker mechanism for transshipment, and the NAVIS TOS system records the current location of each container in real time. In the next year, within the same complex, it is planned to build 2 large warehouses of 15,000 m2 each. This will make this logistics center one of the largest in the region and will undoubtedly open up a number of new, more efficient logistics solutions.
When it comes to the implementation of robotic technology in warehouse operations, Milšped has become a pioneer on the domestic market. The robotic warehouse in Krnješevci was put into operation, and the goal was to better meet the demands of clients, who are always in focus. Warehouse robotization seeks to provide solutions to challenges such as supply chain disruptions, capacity constraints, rising fuel prices, regulatory compliance and labor shortages. Robots can work 24/7, which increases productivity and speed in the realization of client requests, thus reducing labor costs and errors. Thanks to the robots, the Milšped company stores up to three times more goods in the same space and increases the efficiency of safety and health at work. Clients can expect a comprehensive market supply approach, 24/7 logistics support, better inventory visibility for online platforms and more efficient return logistics management. The robotization of the warehouse is in accordance with the policy of responsible business and sustainable development, which confirmed the status of the Milšped company as a market leader in this field.
In the segment of auto logistics, Milšped AML, part of the Milšped Group, has successfully implemented the requirements of multinational companies, providing transportation and distribution services of vehicles and spare parts throughout Europe, with a focus on Serbia, Slovenia and Germany. Millsped launched a project to shift logistics flows from roads to railways in accordance with trends and customer requirements, bearing in mind that rail transport has many advantages over road transport, including reducing road loads and reducing CO2 emissions. With a fleet of 200 wagons and specialists for the organization of rail transport, Milšped provides complete logistics solutions on the European market.
The Milšped company continuously works on improving environmental protection, social issues and corporate governance in its business processes. A project has been launched to establish an ESG strategy, the goals of which are aligned with the ultimate agenda to achieve improvements in the aforementioned areas through continuous progress and to align with the high standards of partners.
