German Auto-Kabel Starts Building New Facility in Mionica – Employment of Another 300 Workers Planned

The president of the municipality of Mionica, Boban Jankovic, has visited the construction site where the new Auto-Kabel facility is being raised. The company will expand the production and employ another 300 workers, as announced on the municipality’s website.

– From a former abandoned cooling plant, thanks to the excellent cooperation with the German company, we have managed to create a factory where people earn for a living. The intention of the company to keep investing in Mionica confirms the fact that Mionica has become a municipality with a good business environment. Serbia, and our Mionica with it, are changing for the better and that is visible every step of the way. New factories and new jobs prove it. Mionica now has a record low number of the unemployed, lower than 300. I am proud that we have managed to strengthen the economy and reduce the unemployment rate, and with the new jobs, we will certainly improve the quality of life – Jankovic said.

Auto-Kabel produces power conductors for the automotive industry, and it has operated in Serbia since January 2019. In addition to the facility in Mionica, they operate in the USA, Mexico, Czech Republic, Switzerland, France, China and Germany.
