Digital Map of Novi Sad and Fruska Gora Presented – More Than 600 Most Important Tourist Attractions, Wineries, Restaurants, Mountain Trails…

In the premises of the Tourism Organization of the City of Novi Sad (TONS), the digital and printed maps of Novi Sad and Fruska Gora have been promoted. TONS has been working on their implementation in the past period. After the first phase of the preparation, the map features close to 600 spots of the most significant tourist attractions, wineries, restaurants, mountain trails, public transport and others, with navigation routes to every destination, the press release says.

– We will continue upgrading our digital map in the future as well. In the second phase, the focus will be on adding new categories with the most significant locations in Novi Sad. The third phase will entail the preparation of a mobile app, which, in addition to a digital map with attractions, will also feature a calendar with the events marked, as well as suggestions for how to spend weekends in Novi Sad. Our aim is to create a quality digital guide that will contribute to providing better information to both the tourists that come to our city and the local populace – said the director of TONS, Branislav Knezevic.

In addition to the promotion of the map, there was also talk about the upcoming May 1 holidays and the events that will mark the spring and summer season, as well as about the tourism results achieved up till that point and displayed according to the data of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.

– Thanks to the continued engagement and campaigns we carry out, the trend of the growth of the number of arrivals and overnight stays of tourists in Novi Sad is continuing. In the first two months of this year, our city was visited by over 23,000 tourists, who realized over 72,000 overnight stays, which is 23% more arrivals and 26% more overnight stays compared to the same period last year. Considering the May 1 holidays, the upcoming events and the fact that it is already difficult to find vacant accommodation capacities, we believe that the statistics will be better with each month and that this year will be even more successful than the previous one – stated Slavica Loncar, an analyst for the development and upgrading of tourist products.
