Bigger investments in the Pcinja, Jablanica and Toplica districts were announced by the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, during his visit to Vranje, Bujanovac, Trgoviste and Bosilegrad.

He announced that the state would adopt regulations for bigger investments in those districts and that it would consider the possibilities of raising public sector salaries in those districts.

He said that the problem was that the salaries in Belgrade and Novi Sad were twice as big as in Vranje, Leskovac and Nis.

– I have talked to the prime minister, the finance minister and the president of the National Assembly. The state will take upon itself greater payments for the three districts: Pcinja, Jablanica and Toplica. The south will have the biggest support in everything – Vucic said.

– We will build roads for you and help you live from raspberry farming – Vucic said, and regarding the complaint that the state should raise the price of raspberries, he said that the price was not determined by the state, but by the global and local markets.

He visited the household of Novica Stamenkovic in the village of Kunovo near Vladicin Han and announced that the state would help increase the livestock population in Serbia through bigger subsidies.

The agricultural property of Novica Stamenkovic, a livestock farmer, was also visited in the president’s company by the ministry of agriculture of Serbia, Jelena Tanaskovic, who said that livestock farmers would get bigger subsidies and that they would be increased from RSD 25,000 to RSD 30,000 per head of livestock.

In Vranje, Vucic said that EUR 5 million would be set aside for the reconstruction of the “Dositej Obradovic” Elementary School and announced that a center for natural sciences would also be built in that city, as well as a modern stadium.

– In the entire Pcinja District, we will go for the construction of roads. We need to connect Trgoviste with Bosilegrad and Bujanovac – Vucic said.

In Bujanovac, Vucic announced that a fast railroad from Nis to Presevo would also be built and that it could be completed in under five years.

– We will build a railroad not for 20 km/h, but for 120 to 160 km/h. Until then, the railroad between Nis and Belgrade will have been completed as well – Vucic said while visiting the site where the first phase of the reconstruction of the “Branko Radicevic” Elementary School building in Bujanovac was being completed.

In Trgoviste, he stated that, if the state didn’t manage to find a foreign investor to open that factory, Yumco would open a facility with around 220 jobs.

Vucic visited the new fire station in Trgoviste and said in his address to the citizens that it wasn’t easy to find a foreign investor to open a factory in that place, but that the state would help.

– If we don’t manage to bring over a foreign investor in the next month and a half to two months, we will bring over Yumco to open a facility here. We will pay and regulate everything and they will employ 200 women and around 20 men – the president said.

He pointed out that the creation of around 220 new jobs would be a very big thing for the citizens of Trgoviste and that it could be realized by the summer.

He announced that the a road would be built from Bosilegrad to Trgoviste and that other roads would be fixed as well, especially the road from Vranje and the bypass route around Bosilegrad.

Vucic said that Bosilegrad had the premises of Kobos and other companies which could be used for bringing investors.

– In the end, we will probably solve this with one of the state investors and we need to do so in the next three months. We are ready to subsidize the serious ones and we will finish this by the end of the year – Vucic pointed out.

As part of his visit to the Pcinja District, Vucic visited the Vlasina Lake, which will get a sewer system for the collection, drainage and treatment of waste waters in the Vlasina area, and announced that the state would invest a lot of money in the infrastructural and tourist development of the Vlasina Lake.

– From here to Crna Trava, they have the most beautiful forests and grazing land – Vucic said and added that herds of wild horses could also be seen there and that it was of great importance that there was a highway passing through the area.

The president said that a good road to Crna Trava would be made.

– It will cost us an arm and a leg to do all this, the kind of which the municipalities of Surdulica and Crna Trava have not seen in the past 70 years. This sewer alone, with the water treatment facilities, will cost around EUR 45 million, although now they are saying that it will be EUR 34 million – Vucic said and added that everything had become more expensive, including building materials.

The president added that investing in full infrastructure would certainly cost more than EUR 100 million and pointed out that it was very important for private investors to make investments in the Vlasina Lake, and not just the state.

– There is no place more beautiful that this in Serbia – Vucic noted and added that there was a legal problem regarding the hotel on the lake.

– We should do a lot in three or four years, so that people have where to come to – Vucic said and added that they would be coming in even greater numbers once the infrastructure from Belgrade and Novi Sad was built.

– When they see how beautiful it is here, they will want to buy a house here. The state will also invest in this enormous tourist potential. This area certainly has potential, just like the Danube has, and we therefore have to invest a lot of money – Vucic said.

Minister Goran Vesic presented to Vucic the sewer project and said that the sewer system would be 78 kilometers long and that the total value of the works would exceed EUR 34 million.

Vesic said that two areas would be able to connect to the system, on the Vlasina Lake, of 5,500 and 3,000 households, and that the project could be realized in around two years, pertaining to both facilities.

– The designing is ongoing and will enter the third phase of the Clean Serbia project, along with Bujanovac, Vladicin Han, Surdulica, Vranjska Banja and part of Vranje, that will be the third phase, to be done next year.
