The Slovenian Business Club celebrated its 19th anniversary last week and gathered numerous members and friends at a traditional New Year’s meeting.

The president of the club, Danijela Fisakov (pictured below) stated that the club only served its purpose if it carefully followed and listened to the needs of its members and tried to meet their expectations.

– Without fearing that I’ll come across as immodest, I can emphasize that the Club has been very successful with it this year. That this is not just self-praise is best shown by the number of the members that are returning to the pre-corona levels. This year, the Slovenian Business Club numbers 145 members, and tonight I also see among us representatives of the companies which have decided to join us next year in our mission of creating success stories. Next year, the Slovenian Business Club is celebrating an important jubilee, 20 years of successful operations in Serbia. Being a reliable partner to one’s members and two states for a full 20 years is certainly a success worthy of respect. With our flawless reputation and quality work, together with our members, with which we have established high standard in this period of close to 20 years, we have earned unequivocal respect from the business community, to which we send a clear message that we are an organization that they can trust and rely on – Fisakov said.

The attendees were also addressed by Damjan Bergant, the ambassador of Slovenia to Serbia, who pointed out that Serbia’s trade with Slovenia was worth nearly EUR 1.5 billion.

– The Slovenian companies in Serbia employ around 25,000 people and there is a total of 1,500 of them. A large number of these companies are members of the club. Slovenia and the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia are there to help the club and the companies and the individuals – the ambassador said.
