The net inflow of foreign investments by October amounted to EUR 3.11 billion, which is 0.3% less than in the same period last year, stated the prime minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic.

She added that, regarding foreign direct investments, the country had had a record year in 2021, but that the current year had been excellent as well.

At the presentation of “White Book 22” of the Foreign Investors Council, Brnabic said that Serbia, despite the crises caused by the coronavirus and the war in Ukraine, continued to attract direct foreign investments and noted that foreign investments and a crisis usually didn’t go together and that, under such conditions, investors didn’t decide so easily to make new investments.

As an important thing for investors, the prime minister cited the fact that the government had formed the Dual Education Office, which should work on increasing the share of practical education.

Brnabic said that there would be a further development of digitization and electronic government and added that the National Bank of Serbia worked on implementing digital bills of exchange, as announced on the website of the Government of Serbia.
