The collocutors agreed that Serbia had had a good GDP growth of 4.1% in the first half of 2022, but that the slowing down of the real growth to 3% could be expected by the end of the year, due to the crisis in Ukraine, which had caused an economic problem on the global level.
At the meeting, they also discussed energy security. On that occasion, as said, president Vucic emphasized that the main goal was to develop an investment plan for the energy sector with projects such as the construction of new gas interconnectors, which would improve energy security and stabilize the production of electrical energy.
– This plan will be presented in the updated Strategy of Development of Energy of the Republic of Serbia, which will include projections until 2050 – it is said on the website of the Presidency.
Talking about the reforms of state and public enterprises, president Vucic said that “a special law which regulates the status of public enterprises in the Republic of Serbia” was being prepared.
