Tvrdjava ice rink opened - Fun on ice in Kalemegdan park by April 1
Tvrdjava (Fortress) ice rink in Kalemegdan park was opened on Saturday and those fond of skating will be able to have fun on the new ice floor every day between 10 AM and 11 PM, until April 1.
In the open-air section of Kalemegdanska Terasa (Kalemegdan Balcony) restaurant, ninety minutes on ice and rental fee for skates cost RSD 300, said ice rink organizer Nenad Tomic.
- By opening Tvrdjava ice rink, we wanted to offer the citizens of Belgrade and broader public a bonus content with the restaurant, a form of recreation in Kalemegdan park, as well as to animate guests and organize skating schools, parties and various promotions on ice - said Tomic.
He added that "with a beautiful view of the Danube and the Sava and clean air in Kalemegdan park, visitors are offered a winter magic during the day and a possibility of recreation for adults and those in love in the evening hours" since the ice rink will be open until 11 PM.
The ice rink was opened in the presence of Luka Klasinc, a figure skater and member of the Olympic team of Slovenia, who gave a performance on ice together with his group, while all visitors enjoyed drinking hot chocolate and mulled wine.
Klasinc said that he had recognized the location at the Kalemegdan Balcony as an excellent space for the first aluminum skating, as well as that state-of-the-art equipment would enable ice to endure high temperatures.
