American and Turkish Companies to Build Wind Farm with Maximum Installed Power of 100 MW on Hills in Vranje Area

The City of Vranje has put the Detailed Regulation Plan of the wind farms Grot and Oblik up for an early public review.

According to the document, the plan is to build a wind farm with a maximum installed power 100 MW, on an area of 486.70 ha on the slopes and peaks of the hills Grot, Oblik, Ravnjak, Gola Cuka, Drenjak, Baltina Cuka, Belanovacki Preslap, Gradiste and Djuranica.

The investor in the project is the company Windflow West doo Beograd, which, according to the data from the Business Registers Agency, is owned by the American SunFlow Holding (70%) and the Turkish Vulcanus Enerji Yatirim Anonim Sirketi (30%).

The company was founded in May last year.

For now, the plan is to install 10 wind generators, each with a power of 6 MW.

From each wind generator, through the pylon, to the ground, a power cable with a voltage of 35 kV will descend. Four wind generators will be tied to the same cable, through which the generated power will be transported to the substation/distribution facility.

The place of the connection of the wind farm to the power distribution system will be set by the terms of EPS, which will be issued in the procedure of the preparation of the Plan.

The early public review lasts until October 26.
