– The coronavirus pandemic now looks like child’s play compared to what we’re living in and what’s in store, but we are fighting to buy each day of security during the winter for ourselves – Brnabic said for TV Pink and added that the Government of Serbia calculated the quantity of secured energy sources every day.
As she reminded, Serbia signed an agreement with Hungary on additional gas storage facilities, and the filling of those storage sites and the local Banatski Dvor site has started.
– We are negotiating about additional quantities of coal, because we have problems with excavating our coal and we are looking to work as fast as possible to make our electrical energy system complete as much as possible and to then have everything that the citizens and the economy need, but also, the prices are not growing at the rate they are in Europe – she said.
She also said that the crisis was spilling over to Serbia from other countries and that, if the German economy stopped, given that it employed over 75,000 people in Serbia, the country would have a great problem.
