The design studio 4 MIND was awarded first prize of EUR 15,000. The authorial team consists of Ilja Mikitišin, Lazar Kuzmanov, Igor Mikitišin and Nemanja Dačić. The model was prepared by Modelart Arhitekti Novi Sad, and the consultants are Conventus Consultants Belgrade.
According to the explanation, with the total volume with two vertical facilities on a relatively low platform – artificial topography – this design took up the least space in terms of volume in said location.

According to the architectural-functional design, the majority of the space is formed on basement floor levels around the central interior yard. This, nearly classical, concept of “a block with a yard”, which is often used for the designing of education institutions, is interpreted in a modern way here, taking into account the very demanding context to the greatest extent. This architectural concept ensures natural daylight in most of the space, has a clear spatial focus and a functional center with clearly defined vertical and horizontal communication lines. At the same time, the structural system enables a high flexibility and adaptability of the designed spaces.
The clever placing of the main entrance from the direction of the Cyril and Methodius Park, the logical pedestrian flows with platforms across the newly formed three-dimensional park on an urban platform – artificial topography – make the new facility of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering fully functionally integrated into its core and wider surroundings.
