The company Al Pack, which produces packaging from light metals in Subotica, plans to expand its production capacities.

As Valentina Loncar, the CEO of the company, told eKapija, the plan is to expand the existing production complex to the three neighboring parcels and to expand the existing pressing facility.

According to her, the construction should begin in a few months, and the works are expected to be completed by the end of this year.

– We have filled out the capacities for the production within our existing parcel, so we need an expansion and we expect the planned extension of the pressing production facility, which is the third production phase in our production process, to increase our total production capacities by 30% – says Loncar and adds that, in the upcoming year, the plan is also to employ around 30 new workers.

As the head of the company explains, the expansion of the production capacities mostly pertains to the markets of pet food and coffee capsules.

– We now have more buyers in those fields, with which we started cooperating last year and the year before – our interviewee says.

According to the urban project for the expansion and extension of the production complex in Subotica, the new, ground-floor facility of the pressing plant, in the Aleksandrovo zone in the cadaster municipality of Donji Grad, will have an area of 764 m2. After the expansion, the facility will spread of 11,020 m2, up from the current 10,256 m2.

The project was prepared by the Road Management, Urban Planning and Housing Public Enterprise of Subotica, and the preliminary design was prepared by the Subotica-based company Support.

Al Pack, which exports to 27 countries of the world, also has an office in Russia, and when asked whether they’ve had any problems in their operations due to the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, Valentina Loncar says that it hasn’t been the case so far:

– We are not experiencing any major problems for the time being, except that the price of transport has increased a lot, but we have partners with which we have been working for years and which haven’t abandoned us, so the delivery deadlines have not extended considerably. Also, the ruble is stable at the moment.

eKapija’s interviewee also says that the company Al Pack installed the biggest roof solar power plant in Serbia, with 1,100 kWp, on its factory in Subotica last year.
