Year-on-Year Inflation in Serbia in March at 9.1%, Month-on-Month 0.8%

The inflation in March this year, compared to February, was 0.8%, whereas, compared to March 2021, it was 9.1%, as announced by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.

Consumer prices in March 2022 in relation to December 2021 increased by 2.8%, on average.

Observed by main groups according to the destination of consumption in March 2022 in relation to the previous month, increase of prices was noted in the groups Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (1.7%), Transport (1.5%), in the groups Food and non-alcoholic beverages and Restaurants and hotels (by 1.1% each), Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels and Health (by 0.9% each), Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (0.3%) and Communication (0.1%).


Decrease of prices was noted in the groups Recreation and culture (-0.9%) and Clothing and footwear (-0.2%).
