Subsidies for Procurement and Installment of Universal Protective Frames for Tractors Announced

The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure will be the carrier of the activities pertaining to the allocation of subsidies for the procurement and installation of universal protective frames for tractors, with the aim of further increasing the safety of tractor drivers and all participants in the traffic.

The data on the percentage of tractors without protective equipment in Serbia show that there are around 20% such vehicles in Vojvodina, whereas the percentage in Macva reaches 40-50%.

In the period between 2016 and 2020, a total of 144 tractor drivers or passengers were killed, whereas the number of people injured in tractor-related traffic accidents was close to 2,000. People killed in traffic accidents involving a tractor make up around 7% of all traffic accident fatalities in the Republic of Serbia. On average, annually, there are around 518 traffic accidents in Serbia in which at least one tractor is involved, it is added.
