Hungarian wine, specialties and music enriched the workshop held at Hotel “Moskva” in Belgrade, which was attended by local tourism agencies, but also everyone interested in what this country has to offer.

The National Tourism Agency of Hungary was the organizer of the event, at which the tourist potentials of the country were presented by the Hungarian tourism organization and its partners – representatives of numerous hotels, spas, local tourism organizations and bathing centers.

As Attila Pinter, the ambassador of Hungary to Serbia, pointed out, the bilateral relations of the two countries are the highest level, and, in the past years, the tourism connections have been getting stronger as well.

– Our governments have reached an agreement on a line of fast passenger boats that sail on the Danube, from Budapest to Belgrade. Joint presentations of the tourism organizations of Hungary and Serbia to China and Russia were also agreed, in the sense of common programs and routes – he said.

He also pointed out that guests from Serbia were the most interested in Szeged and the spas Morahalom, Mako and Gyula.

Hungary has 11 regions of special importance, which have the highest potentials, pointed out Ivan Ljubinkovic, the head for the markets of southeast Europe and the sector for the development of tourism at the National Tourism Organization of Hungary. Some of them are the Budapest region, Debrecen, Tokaj, Balaton and Pecs.

– We are especially proud of the “Hungarian liquid treasure”, the wine and the winemaking regions, of which there are a total of 22. Our country does not produce a lot of wine, but that’s what makes local wineries special, which you should discover in person, creating a personal experience – he said.
