First National Platform for Artificial Intelligence Starts Working in Kragujevac

The first National Platform for Artificial Intelligence has been put into operation at the State Data Center in Kragujevac. This platform, as announced from the Government of Serbia, is a supercomputer of the latest generation, with high performances, ready to process an enormous amount of information in a short period of time.

The attendees were welcomed by “Daca” – Data Center Android, their virtual host, who said that the job of the center was to connect two worlds – the real one and the virtual one, to safely store knowledge and data from the real world, of citizens, companies, the state, local self-governments and commercial users.

The national platform will be available to the state, the local self-government, but also universities, science-technology parks and startups.

The government had marked the construction of the State Data Center in Kragujevac as a project of importance for Serbia, being one of the capital investments in that city, worth EUR 30 million.

The data center spreads on 14,000 m2, and it was built in slightly under a year and a half.
