Inflation in Serbia 5.4% – Food and Beverage Prices Record Biggest Increase

In September 2021 in relation to December 2020, consumer prices increased by 5.4%, on average.
Observed by main groups according to the destination of consumption in September 2021 in relation to the previous month, increase of prices was noted in the groups Food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.3%), Restaurants and hotels (0.8%), Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.5%).
Increase of prices was noted, also, in the groups Clothing and footwear, Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house and Health (each by 0.4%), Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (0.2%) and in the groups Transport, Communication and Education (each by 0.1%).
Decrease of prices was noted in the group Recreation and culture (-2.4%).
