Direct Air Line to Beijing Solution to Delay of Shipments from China? – Posts of Serbia and China to Initiate Cooperation

The development of e-commerce, the increase in the number of items in postal flows after the easing of global pandemic measures, as well as the increased demands of customers that the purchased goods be delivered to them as soon as possible, were the topics of a meeting between the ambassador of China to Serbia, Chen Bo, and the acting director of the Post of Serbia, Zoran Djordjevic, who agreed that it was necessary for the Post of Serbia and the Post of China to respond jointly by establishing direct cooperation.

– Ensuring stable delivery of postal items from international traffic, facilitating transport routes and fulfilling customer requirements for the shortest possible delivery times for postal items from international traffic and from China, is the common task of our tightly connected and friendly countries, whose commercial exchange is growing. New ways and new delivery routes, as well as the increase in logistics capacities for receiving goods generated by e-commerce, are modern needs that we will adequately respond to with the help of the Post of China, one of the world leaders in transport, logistics and postal traffic. Also, for the realization of these goals, we plan new investments and the purchase of most modern equipment – said Zoran Djordjevic, as announced by the Post of Serbia.

As previously announced, it is expected that with the introduction of a direct flight to Beijing, problems in the flow of e-commerce will be eliminated, and the transfer of postal items will be significantly cheaper and faster.
