The joint border checkpoint Zatrijebacka Cijevna – Grabon between Montenegro and Albania has officially opened. As announced by the Government of Montenegro, the checkpoint was opened by the prime minister of the two countries, Zdravko Krivokapic and Edi Rama.

This border checkpoint was built in 2017 with the support of the European Union within the IPA program of cross border cooperation of Montenegro and Albania, all to the end of connecting Podgorica and Gusinje through the territory of Albania. The construction works cost around EUR 720,000, of which the European Union secured nearly half a million euros.

Montenegro now has three joint border checkpoints, two with the Republic of Albania and one with Bosnia and Herzegovina, namely Sukobin-Muricani, opened in 2009, and Vracenovici-Deleusa, opened in 2020.
