According to the press release, this year’s BINA focuses on the Belgrade Residential Building School, which entails numerous sub-subjects (urban planning design, residential structures, public spaces, green areas, traffic routes and communications, auxiliary functions, apartment organization, structural assemblies, materialization, details…), close to both experts and the widest audience, as well as the direct users, that is, the tenants.
This year, BINA is realized through four program units, and the organizer intends to present quality architectural works, with a special focus on Belgrade and the region, as well as the contributions and achievements made by local architects in the sphere of modern housing, through a range of formats within the program – exhibitions, lectures, accompanying programs and thematic tours. All BINA programs are free.
BINA focus is the central program unit, within which, at the Visual Art Gallery of the Belgrade Cultural Center, an educational exhibit called “The Belgrade Residential Building School from the late 1950s to the mid-1980s – Complexity of Ideas”, authored by Tanja Damljanovic and her associate Dragana Mecanov, will open.
