Chinese Factory Xingyu in Nis to Start Working in April – Jobs for 1,000 Workers in First Phase

In late 2019, it was announced that the Chinese company Xingyu would build a factory of LED lighting for the automotive industry in Nis, and at the moment, according to city councilor Nenad Stankovic, several facilities are being built. All works, he announces, will be completed next year, whereas the factory is expected to open in April, which should employ around 1,000 people in the first phase.

In May 2019, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the Chinese company and it was announced at the time that Xingyu Automotive Systems Co LTD was to build a factory of automotive lighting in Nis. Although there have been speculations about where the factory was to be built, the location is now known, and the City Council has decided to provide 16.5 hectares of land along Dimitrija Tucovica Blvd, next to the Leoni factory, without compensation.
