Tender for Project Task and Strategy for SPENS Reconstruction Design – Deadline for Submitting Bids October 7

The Public Company Sports and Business Center Vojvodina, the popular SPENS, has published a tender for the design of the strategy and project task for the reconstruction of this facility.

The estimated value of the procurement procedure is RSD 6.6 million. The deadline for bid submission is October 7. The opening of the bids is scheduled for the same date.

According to the tender documentation, the City of Novi Sad plans the full reconstruction of SPENS as a multi-purpose facility of great importance for the City of Novi Sad as well as for the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and Republic of Serbia.

It is stated that the goal is to find the adequate balance between sustainable urban premises and the optimization of the commercial value of the SPENS facility which is the key to realizing this project.

– There needs to be a special emphasis in the project on evaluation of the facility's energy efficiency in order to identify energy required to renovate the center and effective mechanisms applied for those purposes, the documentation says.

Let us remind, since its opening in 1981 no significant reconstruction works have been done in the facility which led to inefficient use of energy and loss of functionality in the building, which turned SPENS into one of the largest energy consumers in Novi Sad.
