According to the press release, “active measures of preventing the spreading of coronavirus” will be implemented at all border crossings in North Macedonia.
Along with a valid PCR test, it is mandatory to sign a statement on accepting a 14-day self-isolation in case of infection, based on which the State Health Inspectorate issues a decision on supervision and home self-isolation which is controlled by the police.
For all Macedonian citizens of foreigners with a regulated stay who don't provide a PCR test or provide an invalid PCR test when entering the country, the two-week state quarantine remains in effect, during which they can take the PCR test at a personal request, in which case, if they test negative, they are sent to a home quarantine.
This decision practically means that tourists from Serbia, who have experienced problems reaching Greece in the past days, will now be able to cross the border, but only with the mandatory coronavirus test.
