We Can Take Care of the Environment Every Day

Throughout the year, we work every day to preserve the environment, and by celebrating the World Environment Day on June 5, with the topic “Celebrate Biodiversity”, we want to see if we are on the right path and whether we can do something more for our environment.

The biggest recycler, the Cardboard Factory Umka, processes up to 500 tons of old paper a day, which is equivalent to 8,500 trees saved a day, whereas Ekostar Pak, as the national operator of packaging waste management, with its network of collectors and recyclers, took care of 75,000 tons of various kinds of packaging waste.

This week, we wanted to remind everyone on social media of our National Parks and the importance of preserving the biodiversity of Serbia, and one of the ways is to manage waste responsibly, primarily pertaining to old paper.

To symbolically mark the tenth anniversary of the successful cooperation of Ekostar Pak and the Cardboard Factory Umka, we planted 10 coniferous trees as another gesture of our dedication to leaving a positive heritage to the Earth.

– We believe that it can be a guideline for everyone looking to contribute to the preservation of the environment – both companies pointed out through dialogue.
