Higher excise taxes on fuel, alcohol and cigarettes
The Government of Serbia increased excise taxes on oil derivatives and cigarettes by 1.58% and excise taxes on alcohol drinks by 10.37% yesterday (January 21, 2010).
- Excise taxes on all types of gasoline were increased by 0.70 RSD, to 44.7 RSD per liter, the tax on diesel fuel went up by 0.47 RSD, to 30.47 RSD per liter, while the excise tax on liquid gas grew by 0.15 RSD, to 15.24 RSD per kilogram - said the people from the Ministry of Finance.
Excise tax on pack of cigarettes was increased from 17 to 17.25 RSD, while the tax on cigars and cigarillos grew from 15.5 to 15.74 RSD per piece.
Excise taxes on fruit, grape and special brandies were increased from 79.35 to 87.58 RSD per liter, while excise taxes on the brandies made of cereals and other raw materials grew from 201.32 to 222.2 RSD per liter.
Excise tax on spirits and liqueurs was increased from 129.04 to 142.42 RSD per liter, while the tax on soft drinks grew from 13.25 to 14.62 RSD.
Excise tax on beer was increased from 15 to 16.56 RSD per liter.
New excise taxes will be put in effect the day after they are announced in the Official Bulletin.
