New tourist attractions on Divcibare – Construction of Ethno Market in spring 2020, sports and recreation zone planned as well

This year, the Divcibare mountain will get an ethno market, which will help make this tourist location even more beautiful and modern, especially its center, where the current market is located. The works should start in March, and the completion deadline is June 30, 2020.

The estimated value of the facilities and the landscaping is RSD 27,687,369.90. The funds are provided by the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications (RSD 9,000,000) and the Tourism Organization of Valjevo (RSD 10,747,000), whereas the remaining amount of RSD 7,940,369 is planned within the City of Valjevo's 2020 budget.

The current green market on Divcibare, as said on the website of the City of Valjevo, is ruined and features no adequate equipment or installations.

The director of the Tourism Organization of Valjevo, Ana Markovic, says that the main design has been prepared, so that this central commercial space would become part of the representative offer of this tourist place.

– The project entails the construction of an open air market, whereby it would keep its traditional character, offering ethno products, souvenirs and local food products. The ethno market is to consist of pre-fabricated overground facilities. The project also entails an innovative system, a modern design and landscaping. The plan is to build a facility of 35 m2 for the purposes of the Tourism Organization, 27 facilities for the sale of local products and souvenirs, as well as a public restroom. Plans for Golubac, Crni Vrh, Paljba and Krivina lookouts have been prepared, as has been the plan for the development of Titov Gaj, where the sports and recreation zone should be located – Markovic says.
