Six measures for better air quality proposed, strict vehicle inspection included

The decision was reached in the meeting Serbian Prime Minister convened on Wednesday with representatives of relevant ministries, Public Investment Management Office, Serbian Environmental Protection Agency, Republic Hydrometeorological Service of Serbia and the City of Belgrade on the high levels of air pollution.
In order to prevent air pollution, the government will introduce the following measures:
1. Expedite gasification
2. Strict vehicle roadworthy inspection
3. Subsidies for electric cars (vehicles 10-20 years old cause up to 25% of air pollution)
4. Replacements of filters in thermal power stations
5. Intensified reforestation
6. Using biomass as an energy-generating product
