The Tourism Organization of Indjija is looking for a contractor for the reconstruction of the Celtic Settlement in that municipality. As the TO says for eKapija, this is the next phase of the construction of the settlement, which could eventually open for guests later on.
– The works entail the completion of the raising of the fence, pathways, bleachers for outdoor tournaments and another small house. There are already two, and several other facilities are planned as well – the TO Indjija says.
Interested parties may send offers by January 17, 2020.
The construction of the Celtic Settlement began in 2012, and, according to the project, it will spread on around 1.5 hectares and consist of a total of 19 facilities, including the so-called pottery, blacksmith, peasant and warrior houses.
The works were on hold for more than two years due to a lack of money.
– The phase which is now being planned will be financed by the municipality from the budget, whereas a part of the funds in the amount of RSD 4 million was provided by the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Communications – the TO says.
Historical and archaeological findings show that the Scordisci warrior tribe had a large settlement in the territory of the municipality of Indjija.
