Vojvodina's Software Cluster to be founded
- Founding assembly of Vojvodina's IKT cluster - VIK will be held tomorrow (September 8th, 2009) in Novi Sad - the Investment Promotion Fund of Vojvodina announced.
According to the announcement, the initiative for founding the Vojvodina Software Cluster with the aim of improvement of mutual cooperation and further development of the sector in local and foreign markets came as the result of the consulting with enterprises in IKT sector that have their headquarters on the territory of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.
The founding assembly will also be the opportunity for all the present to get familiar with the Enterprise Europe Network, the largest business support network that offers comprehensive help to small and mid-sized enterprises in EU. The University in Novi Sad is one of the members of the consortium of EEN programme in Serbia.
Establishment of the Enterprise Europe Network in Serbia will bring small and mid-sized enterprises and entrepreneurs in the position to get the information on conditions for penetration of the EU market, export opportunities, public procurements, new technologies, potential partners, opportunities for technological development, and EU's Framework programmes (FP7), and they will also gain the access to new technologies.
The hosts of the event are Professor Dr. Vojin Šenk, regular professor at Faculty of Technical Sciences, and Branislav Bugarski, the CEO of VIP.
