"Crisis? So what!" - "Infofest 2009" in Budva between September 27 and October 3
This year's 16th Festival of IT Achievements – "Infofest 2009", will be held in Budva, in the period between September 27th and October 3rd, 2009.
According to the decision of the Government of Montenegro, this event has the status of a nationally important manifestation, and it represents the most significant regional event in field of information and communication technologies for years.
"This year's Infofest will be another exhibition of the most successful IT projects and the world's leading ICT companies. Based on previous selection of companies and individuals who can take part in the event, the Expert Board of Infofest is finishing confirmation of the programme details at the moment. It has been confirmed that the participants in this year's Festival will be: "Microsoft", IBM, "Oracle", "Cisco Systems", "Ensior", "Saga", SBS, "Informatika MN", "CG Telekom", "Promonte", "Digit MN", "MFC" "Mikrokomerc", "Čikom", "IT Excellence", "Ericsson Nikola Tesla", "e-Smart Systems", "Asseco Group", "ComTrade", "Pexim", "CardInfo", "Logos", "Energodata", "Axis Communications", "Meridian", JISA, "Energodata", "Infostream", "doMEn" and many others", it is stated in the Organizer's announcement.
The Festival will also include presentation of the 20 most successful author works.
In addition to already established presentation and exhibition forms, this year's programme will also include a new polemic content "On the given subject", within the scope of which the representatives of ICT companies will be answering the questions of the Organizer and visitors instead of holding standard promo presentations.
The programme concept of Infofest will be significantly refreshed through holding of several thematic conferences, consultations and seminars. In addition to already traditional International Conference of Telecommunication Regulatory Bodies, of which organizer is Montenegrin Agency for Electronic Communications, holding of the conference on modern information systems of government organs is also in the pipeline. The most interesting content for the representatives of finance institutions is, most certainly, special two-day programme "Modern Banking – Challenge for ICT Sector" whose organizer is "Asseco Group". Regional EU Association "Electronic Administration Development Center" (CeGD) will officially announce new, regionally important projects at Infofest, such as "EU Perspective".
Official programmes will be enriched with the series of attractive accompanying contents that contribute to constructive business atmosphere, which makes "Infofest" a recognizable event from its premiere.
The Festival is primarily intended for decision-maker in large business systems, government administration, public sector, finance organizations and similar institutions, as well as for general IT public. Last year's "Infofest" gathered about 1,300 participants who paid conference fee and few thousand visitors of individual contents.
The organizers of "Infofest" are the Ministry of IT Society of Montenegro and consulting company "Biznis Link" from Belgrade. The organizer has made it possible for the students of the faculties that are closely related to IT and telecommunication sector to participate in "Infofest" 2009 for free.
Pointing out that the most efficient way for neutralization of the consequences of the global economic crisis is more intensive application of technological achievements, the Organizer has decided that the slogan of the 16th "Infofest" should be: "Crisis? So what!"
