1m USD for consulting services - Japanese company "Tokyo Electric Power" to advise Serbia on energy

Japanese company "Tokyo Electric Power" announced yesterday (August 3, 2009) that it had been hired by Serbian Government to provide consulting services related to the measures that Serbia should introduce in order to save more energy.

TEPCO, the largest power supply company in Japan, will suggest laws and measures that should be introduced for the sake of more efficient energy management, and it will also test the measures introduced by Serbia prior to January 2011.

TEPCO will be paid 98m CHY (1.03m USD) for consulting services prior to March 2010. Serbia is the third country, after Thailand and Saudi Arabia, that hired aforementioned Japanese company.
