EBRD confirmed 22m EUR worth of investment in "Asseco SEE"
- The Board of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development confirmed the decision on June 30th, 2009, about realization of 22m EUR worth of investment in "Asseco South Eastern Europe". One month earlier, on May 29th, EBRD approved of that investment at the level of business decision - people from Belgrade-based company "Pexim", which is a part of "Asseco SEE", announced.
The Bank will take over ASEE's newly issued stocks worth 15m EUR, while remaining 7m EUR will be granted to the company in the form of six-year loan. Also, qualified investors have taken over issued stocks worth over 6.5m EUR.
This investment will be used for future consolidation of operations in the region of Southeastern Europe (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia), as well as for new acquisitions on this territory, including Turkey.
According to the announcement, "Asseco SEE" intends to take over, in the near future, another 4 IT companies that together generate net profit of 4.3m EUR.
EBRD is going to become one of major stockholders in "Asseco SEE", along with "Asseco Poland" and investors who have bought the stocks in the initial public offer.
In Serbia, members of "Asseco SEE" that will feel the advantages of that investment are "Antegra", "Cardinfo" and "Pexim".
"Asseco" Southeastern Europe deals with software design, it has 900 employees, and all companies members of that group are either software companies or system integrators.
