TOP 8 – investments in ECOLOGY that drew greatest attention of users of eKapija in 2008

EKapija’s investment team has recently carried out the analysis and formedthe rank-list of investments and investment ideas that drew the greatestattention of eKapija’s users in 2008. The results are very interesting, withmany surprises, and that is why we’ve decided to share these information withyou.

The projects are classified into 10 categories, and this time we are goingto present the most read articles in the category of ECOLOGY.

The first-ranked project is Gornji Milanovac-based Metalac’s investment in wastewatertreatment system /Eco-sign of Republic of Serbia. Namely, Metalac haslately decided to invest significant amount of money in resolving of the watertreatment problem. This company has also invested in the technologies forreduction of electricity and gas consumption, it recycles metal waste in forgesand uses natural materials in production …

The second on that list is the project of the Ministry of Agriculture,Forestry and Waterpower Engineering for reductionof pollution of the Danube through modernization of cattle farms, of which realizationis backed by Swedish Agency for International Cooperation through InternationalBank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD). Namely, the aim of that projectis to reduce pollution of the Danube and its tributaries with nutrients fromcattle farms, especially from pig and cow farms, as well as to reduce quantityof nutrients from the slaughterhouse industry.

The third-ranked project is “Million Trees for Serbia”. It is the jointproject of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Spatial Planning, theInstitute of Forestry Engineering Belgrade, Srbijavode, Vode Vojvodine, theEnvironment Protection Agency, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry andWaterpower Engineering and many other institutions. So many problems of aeol erosion,air quality, animal dens can be resolved in this way, and that is why thepublic is so interested in realization of this and similar projects.

The next is the project by “Kuće Beodom” - Amadeo Project – energy-savingapartments in Belgrade, and it should be pointed out that this projectalso won the Aurea 2009 award.
