Lesnina to return to Serbia – Construction of new department store to begin soon in Novi Sad

One of the biggest world companies for the sale of furniture, Lesnina XXXL, will open a department store in Serbia once again.

This has been confirmed for eKapija by Aleksandar Pavicevic of this company, who says that one of the main reasons for the return of the company to Serbia are its successful operations in the past.

According to him, the construction of the Lesnina department store, which will take up over 20,000 m2, will officially begin in around 15 days in Novi Sad.

Thanks to the arrival of Lesnina XXXl to Novi Sad and the consequent engagement of subcontractors, 200 new jobs will be created, Pavicevic told our portal and added that the initial investment in the arrival of the company to Serbia would amount to around EUR 20 million.

As he says, nearly all investments shouldered by the company itself would be put into the Serbian economy through hiring local companies for engineering design, construction, land and other jobs.

According to our interviewee, Lesnina XXXL is already cooperating with certain Serbian companies which produce furniture, and “with the arrival to the Serbian market, the number will surely increase, and negotiations with local producers are already in progress”.

XXXL Lesnina is a member of the XXX LUTZ corporation, and the opening of the department store in Novi Sad is expected in the spring or the summer of 2019.
