Wine festival Interfest from June 14 in Novi Sad

The international wine festival Interfest will be held for the 15th time this year, beginning on Thursday, June 14, at the Freedom Square, and ending on Saturday, June 16.

The visitors will have the opportunity to taste one of the 500 wines from over a hundred wine cellars, the director of the festival, Natasa Budisavljevic Radisic, announced.

Various workshops and panels will be organized during the festival, as well as a rich music program at the Freedom Square. On the first and the second date, the music program starts at 8 pm, whereas, on the closing day, it starts at 7:30 pm. The program will include tambura orchestras, but also classical, soundtrack and modern pop and rock music.

One of the panels will include the tasting of the wines which won awards at this year's prestigious contests Decanter World Wine Awards (London) and Balkans International Wine Competition (Sofia). In addition to learning how quality is built, how success is achieved and what the rating system is like, the visitors will also be able to taste six of the top quality wines of Serbia, which are winning over Europe and the world.

The Central Danube Tour will also be presented at this year's Interfest. This project pertains to cross-border cooperation of Croatia and Serbia, which aims to enhance the tourism development in the Central Danube region.

On all three dates, the festival will be open from 7 pm till midnight. Wine tasting vouchers will cost RSD 100, whereas a glass of wine will cost RSD 250.
