"Zobnatica" sold for 169 million dinars
Company for agriculture and breeding of horses, "Zobnatica" from Backa Topola, has been sold today (December, 12th, 2008) at the auction in the Agency for privatization to a Serbian-Greek consortium by the starting price of 169 million dinars.
Consortium, made by Greek businessman, Cristoforos Petris and a Belgrade based company "New Company", was the only interested buyer for "Zobnatica", which has been offered for sale for the 2nd time.
Legalm representative of the consortium gave statement to the press that the new owner will continue with the same activities, adding that Petris is on the head of this consortium, being already involved with horse breeding in Greece, and besides that also with hotel management.
The buyer will have to oblige to invest in "Zobnatica" at least 160 million dinars, which is 1,9 million euros, according today's exchange rate.
"Zobnatica" also has in its property a hypodrome, a museum, three stals, silos.
"Zobnatica" has 151 workers, and in 2006 it had 4,2 million euros of profit, while during 2007 it experienced a down fall to 2,8 million euros.
