Germany's Vorwerk Autotec to arrive to Cacak - German company to invest EUR 50 million in production of car parts

The German company Vorwerk Autotec, a large producer of spare parts for the automotive industry, has decided to build a facility in Cacak at which 1,000 workers will be employed, and the facility will take up around 6 hectares in the industrial zone in Preljina.

– The investor has reached the decision to invest slightly under EUR 50 million in the industrial zone in Preljina in Cacak. The plan is to develop 65,000 square meters of indoor production space over the next six years, and over 40,000 square meters will be built this year alone – said Mayor of Cacak Milun Todorovic.

He added that, in addition to the production space, there will also be a testing center, whereas employee education will be carried out in Germany and Poland.

– The family company Vorwerk Autotec is located in the German city of Wuppertal and has existed for 200 years. It is a great supplier and producer in the automotive industry, primarily for Audi, Daimler, Chrysler, Volkswagen, BMW, Porsche, Bentley and others – Todorovic said.

According to him, the negotiations with the German company began last year.

– One of the crucial parameters, which representatives of the German company have seen firsthand, is that we can provide them with qualified workforce, and the nearness of the highway is also a great advantage. With the construction of this plant, we are opening a big chapter in the industrialization and the development of the Moravica District and central Serbia in general – Todorovic says and adds that they would also continue negotiating with other investors.
