The Finnish company Afarak, which is currently leasing the sintered magnesite facility and which has carried out several production campaigns in the past year, will almost certainly be the purchaser of Magnohrom.

As Politika reports, at least thee local companies, previously also business partners of Magnohrom, will compete for the purchase of the factory of electrothermal products, and the latest lessor of those facilities, the company Feroinvest, will probably be among them.

As for the brick plant, the Belgrade-based company Bomex is being mentioned as the most likely future owner, and since it already owns the equipment at this facility as a previous encumbrancer, it would be logical for it to become the purchaser of the building and the infrastructure as well.

Let us remind that, following an unsuccessful privatization in 2007, this factory of refractory materials and electrothermal products is being offered to purchasers in three parts – as a factory of refractory materials with mines, a factory of electrothermal products and a brick factory.

The Bankruptcy Supervision Agency scheduled the public auction for March 21, 2018, in Belgrade.
