Italy donated 600,000 worth of mine defusing equipment to Serbia
The representatives of Serbian and Italian armies have signed the letter of intent in Belgrade and, according to that letter, the Ministry of Defense of Italy is going to donate 600,000 EUR worth of mine defusing equipment to Serbia within the scope of program for removal of mines from the military airport in Niš.
The agreement was signed by the Commander of landforce, Mladen Ćirković, and the Chief of the Landforce Generalstaff of Italy, Fabricio Kastanjeti, in the presence of Alesandro Merola, the Ambassador of Italy to Belgrade.
The Chief of the Department for destruction of unexploded bombs, Srećko Gavrilović, said that Serbia had obtained all-terrain vehicles, mine detectors, personal protective equipment, instruments for measuring layer's thickness, as well as photo, video and IT equipment.
