The State Attorney’s Office has filed a lawsuit against the Securities Commission at the Administrative Court due to jeopardized interests of the Republic of Serbia in Energoprojekt Holding, Blic writes in today’s issue, as reported by Beta.

The daily cites as the reason for initiating the proceedings the decision by the Commission to remove Energorpojekt’s voting rights in its subsidiaries, Entel and Garant, due to an omission by the new majority owner of the companies, Napred Razvoj, which failed to acquire those two companies as well within the legal deadline.

By doing so, Napred Razvoj countered the decision by the Commission, which had ordered it to take over the two Energoprojekt subsidiaries, and should have had a ban on decision-making in Entel and Garant imposed on it until the acquisition process is completed.

The Blic findings have been confirmed by the State Attorney’s Office.

The state has a share of 33.58% in Energoprojekt Holding, and Napred Razvoj, owned by Dobrosav Bojovic, became the majority owner of the Belgrade-based construction company through related companies in late July 2017.
