Swiss Batagon offers additional million euros for FAS

The Swiss company Batagon International has given a new, improved offer for the purchase of Fabrika Akumulatora Sombor (FAS), the soinfo portal reports.

Predrag Ljubovic, bankruptcy supervisor of FAS, pointed out that the second binding bid of Batagon International AG amounted to four and a half million euros, which is one million higher that the previous one.

– As the bankruptcy supervisor, I am delighted with their new offer. This is a serious increase – Ljubovic said and noted that the official memo of Batagon had arrived on Friday, August 4, 2017, right before the end of the working day.

– I will address the Board of Creditors and propose a sale of the property of FAS to Batagon. I believe that no tactical moves are necessary, as this offer is a serious step forward from the previous one. I expect that the Board of Creditors will approve the sale – Ljubovic said.

The estimated value of FAS, as the Sombor portal reminds, is EUR 24.57 million.

Let us remind that the Board of Creditors of Fabrika Akumulatora Sombor in bankruptcy rejected the EUR 3.5 million bid by the Swiss company due to the price's being less than a half of the estimated value.
